Five Dates to Circle
September is our loudest month: three flagship tournaments, one ladder finale and the doubles mixer that everyone pretends is "just for fun" until the semifinals. Whether you enter or just bring a chair to court one, here is your guide.
1. Ashgrove Summer Open — Sep 2–5
Our friendliest flagship. Four graded draws mean genuinely close matches from the first round, and Sunday's finals-day barbecue is the social peak of the season. See the Open draw details.
2. Pacific Coast Championship — Sep 12–15
The serious one: seeded 32-draw singles, chair umpires from the quarters, and Monday night's final under the lights. Even if you don't enter, come watch — the level will remind you why you practice. See the Championship schedule.
3. South Bay Junior Cup — Sep 18–21
Red, orange and green-ball draws for ages 7–17, every child guaranteed three matches, medals for finalists. The loudest cheering squad of the year is always the parents' terrace. See the Junior Cup format.
4. Ladder Finale Night — Sep 25
Twelve months of rolling singles ladders come down to one evening: the top four in each grade play off while the club watches. Winners' names go on the clubhouse board — permanently.
5. Autumn Doubles Mixer — Sep 27
Random partners, short sets, zero pressure. The traditional season closer where beginners partner advanced players and everybody leaves with at least one great story.
Entries for all September events close one week beforehand. Members enter through the booking form or at reception in under a minute.
